Usually when I have a moulding with a taller rabbet than my supports on the Morso will fit, I atg a little scrap of wood to the top of them. Not today!
I had a moulding with a 1 1/8" high rabbet, I was kind of in a lazy mood when I decided to use foam board, and guess what it works great. Yep, just cut a pc of 3/16 foam x 1 1/8 and held it inside the rabbet. ( did not use the Morso supports at all ) Made that first bite slow, cutting thru moulding lip and foam so as not to crush it. After that just held onto both sides of foamboard and moulding as I finished chopping. So easy to cut exactly the height you need for those too tall rabbets. Hope it helps.
