I've pin stretched a Canadian flag to show the top 3 points. What I'm trying to figure out how to cut a mat in a triangular shape. Years ago, I remember having a grid on screen and being able to draw what I wanted cut.
The Wizard 8000 can also run the newer Frameshop software that has Trace, which is much more user friendly than Path Trace was.Hi Andrea, and welcome to the G.
In the Template library 504 is a triangle. It can be modified for dimension, but I think it will always be an isosceles triangle. It can also be rotated or merged with other shapes.
Beyond that there are those that upload custom designs through Corel Draw, and there is the built in feature of Path Trace in the older software.
The Trace Option in FrameShop can import photos to use as the basis of a design. We use a vector design software for our CNC router that will allow us to photograph an object we want to cut out, import the jpg into the software and then trace around it. We usually then need to scale the design and do some node adjustments to clean things up. But the process is pretty simple and straight forward. I'm not familiar with the Wizard software but I would think it would or should have a similar feature. If you find that it does have that capability, I have a suggestion, when taking the photo, be sure your camera is straight on, not tilted in any direction relative to the surface you are photographing, for that would distort the shape.
