I'll take a stab at this.

I just bought a CTD D20 used saw (6 years old), and a previous owner has taken the yellow safety guards off (the ones that cover the blade when you raise it back up after the cut). I called CTD and they were helpful, but they want approx $300 for a pair of these plastic guards and the arm that controls the guard. Before I shell out that kind of $$ for plastic, I thought I'd check to see if anyone has any parts from another CTD D20. I got a great deal on the saw, but $300 for a couple of plastic sliding guards is a bit pricey to me.
Just trying to save a few $$.http://www.thegrumble.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Thanks

2Snazzy. I have used CTD machines for many years. You are absolutely right, their stuff is not inexpensive. I have also discovered that whatever you get from them is well worth every penny. They have great support and understand our industry and our needs. Their saw blades cost a fortune and they exceed any expectation you could possibly have for a blade. In short, I have learned the best thing is to bite the bullet and spend the money. You will never regret buying ANYTHING from CTD.

PS: I'm a picture framer, I have no relationship with the CTD company other than being a very satisfied customer.

John
