We, as I'm sure you all have, several little pieces of damaged or scrap frame moulding....all different colours, shapes, lengths...
My boss is ready to toss it all.
Any advice on fun ways to use this up? In displays? In crafts?
Thanks in advance!

They make for pretty colors when burned. Many people will burn them in a fireplace but the finishes can be toxic. Outdoor fireplace would be a good use of them.

I do have a lot of "dead wood" for sale.

Discontinued mouldings are worth more, aren't they? Especially in 2 1/2' lengths?

Art & Soul... sorry for the facetious response.

There have been numerous threads related to the problem of dealing with good leftover products, especially moulding lengths, that are "just taking up room but too valuable to throw away and what do you do with them?".

Do a search for more suggestions, but I have found that framing high quality small mirrors are a viable way of getting money out of "dead stock". From 1/4" X 1/4" mirrors with 5" stacked frames to long linear frames... designers love these! They sell for hundreds of dollars...

Others do ready-mades at standard sizes.

Imagination and knowledge of your market and customer base works here.

...

If you have enough time to make little craft projects and door stops and tchochkes with them, then you need to spend some more time on marketing and getting some customers in your doors.

You somethin'!

Much biz wizdom here.

They do make nice colors in a bon fire. But after 2 bottles of wine, them colors get much more intense and sometimes they talk...............

Any ideas on what to do with all them glass that gets tossed in dumpster? Besides filling low spots in driveways.

Great Idea

The kids love this type of project and the teachers will make you a local hero for helping them out too. Schools are just not able to buy the things they use to:help:, so scraps and a bottle of glue you think you gave them gold. Keep up the good work! Darth FKA: a former teacher

Most of these are African masks made by elementary school students. The fabric art is from high school students.

I do a sizable amount of business to local schools most likely due to my donations. The teachers know that I go out of my way to get them what they need for certain projects. If I customer is downsizing and needs to donate craft supplies, I'll send out an email to all of my school teachers to come pick it up. Some teachers take matboard fallout or foam scraps, and some ask for moulding pieces. When a teacher told me that she dumpster dived at another frame shop, I said that I could help her and she wouldn't have get dirty anymore. She gives me a nice amount of business and has sent me other lots of other schools that do framing.
