This has been discussed before, but I wanted to provide this link:

The video, in my humble opinion, was well done. I was speaking to Maureen, who is a Creative Memory Consultant, and we were discussing picture framing. She provided me with great information on this company. With 60,000+ consultants, it might be a force to be reckoned with.
Again, my humble opinion.
Regards,
Julia

don't you just love those 1-1 1/2" mats(in the testimonial video)......... a selection of 20-30 frame mouldings. .. and 100 mat samples.......

60,000 consultants = bored housewife's who like to throw parties. The burnout must be HUGE!

Now don't get your panties in a tangle girls, I mean no offense to all of the housewife's out there. Simply that of the 60,000 consultants how many are seriously knowledgeable and are going to stick with it.

jPaul, no housewives on this forum, we are all to busy working our tails off!

Regarding CM, I'd say if you ca't beat 'em, join 'em, but unlike a lot of network marking plans, you have a minumum buying requirement to be a CM "consultant." When I last checked, it was about $100 per month. That's a lot of album pages and stickers.

I have a good friend in that business. I'm not worried about CM, I've been framing for scrapbookers for years. They want high end custom cut mats and framing for all thier hard work on the scrapbook pages. They understand preservation and want to protect thier photos. Selling framing really doesn't fit with this company's product, and I'll bet it goes about as well as thier photo development program. Scrapbooking is what they do best and many CM consultants realize this.

I declare Kristie to be prophetic.

Skipping ahead two bankruptcies in 7 years all remnants of Creative Memories are gone.

At one time they were doing 300 million dollars.

In a blog by Mark Mizen he partially blames ventures like custom framing to have contributed to their demise.
