Wow - great grain, great shape, great pegs - and a great way to put that extra jot of strain into your shoulder before you danged arm falls off.

If your surgeon sees this he should slap you upside the head.

Cute …. and well made...... however not my cup of tea…

It would remind me of the cheap furniture coming out of the Far East….

Holy moly, Baer, we are all hollerin' here looking at your photo of that gorgeous frame and that ratty cross stitch!
It certainly goes WAY beyond any expectation I might have had!
The grain is divine, the pegs put a lump in my throat, the curves are delicious and the color is my favorite. Now I know why I didn't frame that thing 13 years ago.
Holy carp, I can hardly believe it is for real... is it?

Come on Edie.... you know me..... it's just a cheapassed black frame I picked
up at IKEA and photoshopped it....

I'll wrap it today....

Mar.... this was a small one, and the larger hammers make the chisel work easier....
its the 1/4" chisel through the back of the hand that is the hard part..... grrrr

The two hard ones we are cutting mats and fitting today. Pictures to follow.

My last day to play for frames or typing is April 10th..... get it done get it done get it done.....

Nice!
C'mon, Baer! You know that you're a glutton for punishment like most of us.
I was cutting down some wooden drawer inserts for a friend and former employer last week and as I was loading the stuff into the back of her BMW X5, the self closing rear hatch came down and smashed my pinkie and it popped like a grape.

My finger was trapped and I had to stand there while she fumbled for her key to open the hatch and release me.
My pinkie looked like a figure 8 and was bleeding out of both sides.
I sucked on it and told her not to worry (she was freaking out) and I went inside to tape it up.
I wondered later what would have happened if my finger got trapped in the hatch and I was by myself.
Would I have to gnaw off my finger tip or saw it off with one of my car keys to free myself?

It returned to it's normal shape after a while and I iced it down at home and aside from a bruised purple finger tip, no problem. My pinkie is not my most important finger when I'm framing.

It's funny how I never get injured on the saw or the chopper or the vnailer, but working on my car or just doing some simple thing and something stupid happens.

Sorry Edie, didn't make the mail today... something came up... like work and a harddrive that
lost it's mind.....

So for my lunch.... I slapped some Kaiser Baerrier Leaf in the rabbet so all you have to do is
fit it.

That is Dead sexy! Gorgeous thing.Just don't destroy what is left of that shoulder. Just curious. Who the heck in China is making knock off craftsman style furniture? I've never see it over there. L

Baer, hope you know I was teasing you. Great craftsmanship, I think that frame would look great in the camper that is in Grimm. Has a great old world look to it.

Baer, I am awed and breathless with anticipation. Your frame will truly elevate my cross stitch. I will send you photos of the finished piece. I have gathered that you have a shoulder needing serious repair-- I hope you heal beautifully and are back making masterpieces like this. Please don't hurry healing--- take your time and do it well.

There was a frame on the narrow wall in the entry of Nic & Juliet's house.... before the
huge fight..... they haven't asked for a replacement . . . yet.

The frame style for the trailer would be more like a Romanian style of Tramp Art..

only in a much smaller version like a photo frame.... like this one I did for Mar
