If you are attending the West Coast Art & Framing show in a couple weeks and are interested in becoming a CPF or MCPF, there are a couple classes you should look into:
AM7119/AN7119 Introduction to the CPF Exam
Tuesday, January 31 2:15 to 3:45
This class is those who are interested in certification and would like more information on what to expect. We'll cover the history of the CPF program, what type of materials and questions are covered during the exam and what a Certified Picture Framer needs to do in order to stay current.
Just as you do not have to be a PPFA member to become a CPF, you do not have to be a PPFA member to take this class.
And by the way, the class is offered at NO COST.
AM7120/AN7120 Introduction to the MCPF Exam
Monday, January 30 11:00 to 12:30
This class is geared to framers who have acheived CPF status and wish to take their certification to the next level with the Master Certified Picture Framer designation. We'll cover eligibility requirements, the exam content and format and requirements to keep the MCPF status in good standing.
Just like the CPF exam and its class, you do not have to be a PPFA member to take this class.
Oh, and this one is offered at NO COST, too.
Please do not confuse either one of these for a prep class. If you are taking the CPF exam soon and want to get up to speed with the study skills and knowledge needed to increase your chances of success you'll be interested in:
AM7121/AN7121 PPFA Certified Picture Framer Preparation Course
This class is taught by Shirley Damon, CPF on Wednesday, February 1 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The cost for this class is $95 for PPFA members, $125 for non-members.
There is no prep class for the MCPF.
