I was in an art supply store and remembered needing some blotter paper. A clerk steered me to couch paper which I bought. It is used by papermakers for drying and pressing handmade papers. I found it to be more absorbant and seems like it will be longer lasting than blotter. Has anyone used this? Did I blunder by using it on my hinges?

I have used couch sheets in the paper-making process. It does seem a little stronger than normal blotter paper, cause it goes through a lot of stress and moisture in the process, so it may last longer. It does seem more absorbant as well. Other than that, I am simply babbling (so what else is new?)
