Hi John

Coroplast is not available in Europe as far as I know, or at least the Brand "Coloplast" is not.

There are other products made by Cordek www.cordek.co.uk which may be the same thing, sometimes depending on distribution, marketing/sales, company or licensing agreements products end up with different names in different parts of the world.

Essentially as far as I can make out Coroplast is the material that is used to make sign’s, banners etc for auctioneers (realtors) and other business, another use for this type of product is to make boxes to ship food products in, you might have noticed in the likes of Tesco that some of the vegetable products are bulked shipped in a corrugated plastic type boxes…………..I would expect that if the product meets the requirements of the food industry it would be a very safe product to use in picture framing.

The product that would be used by picture framers would be the smooth version which you might get from the wholesalers who supply sign makers, photographic and the silkscreen industry, I think most of these wholesalers will supply the picture framing industry and would be less sensitive than the US wholesalers about supplying “out of trade”, the tendency in Ireland at least is that a whosaler will supply related industries.

I have had little success finding a source of supply in Ireland yet but I do know that this type of product is available in the UK.
