I use a gentleman here in Worcester. If you want his name call me.

Otherwise, call Dave Smith at Winchester Art and Frame. He is prez of our NE PPFA chapter and has been around long enough to recommend someone close to you. You can also describe the piece and what the problem is to him. Sometimes "what" needs to be done can drive who may be best qualified.

P.S. our NE chapter meeting is in Taunton on June 19th. Come on down!

The customer hasnt brought in the piece, just asked if i knew of someone who could "treat an old document" to preserve it. I will see how far he is will ing to travel.

Ive been trying to get out to worcester on a day off, but havent had a chance. I know I will be out there in early July... I am part of the mess of old cars that take over downtown

I will try to get to taunton though. DO i need to join PPFA to go?

No, you don't need to join, but the afternoon seminar is a little less $ if you join. I believe the evening is either free or nominal. I'll check. Who delievers to you? You should get a flyer from DOn or Armel if you get their truck. Remind me and I'll give you the details when we get closer.

Chris Paschke is coming to speak, but I forget the topic. Also, I am pretty sure it is a table top day , so there will be vendors there too.

Odds are you are correct Ron. But isn't she also in charge of the Framing competition and it's guidelines for the PPFA?

And hasn't there been some seminars on how to Judge a PPFA Framing Competition ? So maybe she isn't going to speak on Mounting and then again maybe she is,or maybe she'll speak about Both.LOLOr maybe she'll speak about both of those and Japanese Calligarphic art,I think she does that also.
BUDDY

Anyone attending would know if they signed up for here Framing Competition Judging class. PPFA wants to know in advance who's taking it.

I'd bet on mounting.

Either way, you're gonna have fun when the wild woman from Tehachapie comes to town. :D

Ok, I know a little more than that.

If you are a NE CPF you will be invited (at no cost) to a class on Sunday June 18th on PPFA Competition Judging. (Chris will be the instructor)

On Sunday the 19th there will be a seminar from 1 to 5 then she will speak in the evening at the regular meeting. There were a NUMBER of pages of topics (on different aspects of mounting) we could pick from for the Sunday events. I just don't remember which we chose.

So, you were all correct! Better?
