Three PPFA members took the MPCF exam March 3 during the PPFA 2009 annual conference in Vegas. The trio joined the exclusive group of fewer than 60 framing professionals worldwide who have earned the Master Certified Picture Framer designation.
They are: George Alvarez, MCPF, The integrated Framestudio Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Bob Warshawer, MCPF, Warshawer Custom Picture Frames, Lexington, Mass.; and Susan Young, MCPF, I've Been Framed! By Susan Young, Bradenton, Fla. Alvarez and his wife Lori become the only husband and wife to both achieve the advanced certification.
