The Champions of Conservation Competition Finalists have been selected. A big thank you is owed to everyone who submitted an entry. It was a tough decision. We had an overwhelming number of entries with an impressive resume of past work, and concepts tied to the Champion of Conservation theme.

Our 4 Finalist are:

Mira Bishop from Oliver Brothers Custom Framing in Beverly, MA
www.oliverbrothersframes.com

Donna Erwin from Columbia River Gallery in Troutdale, OR
www.columbiarivergallery.com

John Barlowe from Frame Shop Art Gallery & Gifts in Holland, OH
www.hollandframeshop.com

Cliff Wilson from Framed In Tatnuck in Worcester, MA
www.framedintatnuck.com

Look for these finalists' finished works in the Tru Vue Booth (#503) at the WCAF Expo. And be sure to place your vote at the show or on Facebook page.

Congratulations to all! Do we get to see photos?????????

Wow, I thought it might be a longshot to be selected so thanks in advance and congratulations to the other three selected and runners up.

Ylva, actually none have framed anything yet. We simply entered via an essay and description of what and how we would frame to meet theme of competition Champions of Conservation. We also submitted a portfolio of past work.

As soon as the four of us complete our projects we are then free to post pictures on Facebook for your comments and votes.

Congratulations to these finalists. Can't wait to see their frames.

Ylva, if they showed you pictures, you might not bother to see them in the Tru Vue booth at WCAF.

My understanding is that Tru Vue will take all four photos and post them on FB at the same time. Us posting photos independently wold be irrelevant ( it doesn't say anywhere we shouldn't post them). The idea is to visit Tru Vue Facebook page and only votes on this page will count. It would be logical for FB and Vegas voting to take place at the same time.

This is a quote from the email that I received notifiying me I was a finalist.

If you use social media, you can share an image of your finalist piece with your customers, friends and family via facebook. Ask them to like our facebook page and vote for you during the show.

So you are correct that the voting on Tru Vues page will be concurrent with WCAF show. However we are encourged to post them on our own page and direct them to the Tru Vue FB page for voting.

I would love to read the winning essays.

Yah Yah YAH Post your essays!!! I would love to read them!!

Bet you guys didnt use the word BAD~A$$~NESS in yours.................. :popc:

That is swell for the privileged who can see them in person......

John, I didn't mean pictures right away...as I know how the process worked, but I'd love to see them on here when there are framed pieces!

Thanks, just trying to figure it out.

It is hard to write an essay in your own language, imagine doing it in foreign language. I'll never get "the" and "a" right as my language doesn't have those articles. My 15 year old was the editor. As far as posting essays, I am fine with it if and when we get Tru Vue's O.K. We also submitted three framed artworks, and this part had some weight (or I think it did). I am honored I was selected, and I am looking forward seeing what the other three finalists will do.

I never heard anything about this competition. There was an essay? How did I manage to miss that?

Was this a PPFA thing? Or just through Tru Vue?

How did all y'all find out about it?

I swear this is the first I have heard mention of it - and I buy a lot of Tru Vue (at least Con Clear).

Congratulations everyone, even though I do not know what you are talking about...

Where John? I don't see it there.
