OK,
So here's the deal. I have a customer with a frame they want more of (or to get again). The clearest description would be Larson 725WO. The problem is that Larson makes profile 725 in only "DO" and "NW." You will find them on page 6 of the "classics collection" of the Larson catalog. For those with a catalog like mine, this means you go past the whole section called "Craig Ponzio Signature Collection", of course including at least 13 individual slicks/specs pages and then the actual 36 page "Sig" catalog part. Then you have to go thru the 10 more or so ad slicks that are not "signature," and then you hit the actual "classic" catalog. Again, on Page 6 you will find the shape of 725, and on the same page, the color of "WO".

Now, here is the "collective brain suck" I seek: Who else makes dated style oak moulding? This shape, . . . .and in the color of roughly golden oak?

The reason it is a brain suck, is because I am asking for a kernel of knowledge that is lodged in your brain, and locked on your head. I wish to extract that kernel, suck it out of your head, and free you of that small bit of knowledge that was taking up space. This will leave more space within your cranium for you to use for other useless information. So this is, in a essence, a public service announcement. After thinking about this, and liberating yourself of such a burdensome piece of close to useless information you will be able to use the space for new useless information. Stuff like, "did I change the air in the tires this week or last week?" Or stuff like: "do inhale or exhale as I cut or v-nail, and which is more efficient?" The world will be a better place when you answer this question. There is no doubt about it. Send bits of knowledge, and other useless information to tcp5543@eartlink.net , or post it here. We will all be better for it, and your brain will thank you.

Is there a question somewhere in all that?

Usually the question marks are good indicators as to where Marc has posed a question.

Wouldn't you think so?

My experience with Larson Juhl is as such...they will make that to spec for you if you have need for alot of it. This has just been my experience, but if you will require a significant amount, they will custom stain and finish to your requirements. Perhaps not the answer you were looking for....

Hmmm..am I to believe Marc likes the Larson catalog...or.....

Sorry, too many ellipses. I am at home and therefore catalogless. Cannot see the profile of which you speak. However, Bravura Molding in Wisconsin ( check your new Decor 2001 supplier mag for tel # ) They have a lot of oak molding, much of which is like the Larson oaks except nicer..and less expensive. Their catalog is also smaller and, I guess, less confusing. The folks there are also very polite and have that cute midwestern accent. Service is awesome.
