One of my favorite clients just came back from S.America with a boat load of stunning photos that were shot by National Geographic photographers ... I'm framing a bunch of them ... but there are so many more that won't be framed because he just doesn't have enough wall space ...

What he wants to do with the ones that are not going to be framed is to be able to display them in some kind of portfolio or book which he will keep on his coffee table ... obviously he prizes the photos so they need to be in something nicer than your average photo album ...

Any recommendations for a suitable portfolio or other kind of coffee table display? Can you recommend a source?

There are some really nice high end leather bound albums from some of the professional photo labs out there. I have the names of a couple I can pm you if it sounds like something that might work. You can also send them the digital photos and have them made into a high quality "coffee table art book"

Companies like Light Impressions sell protective sleeves for the photos. You might be able to construct a nice storage/display box out of frame moulding- maybe with a conservation acrylic dust cover.

How about a glass-topped coffee table which is actually a huge digital photo frame scrolling the images?

Not that I could make/source one, but I might like one if you can!

Thank you gmff.

That's funny, because I had someone come in today asking about the same thing. No framing (of course), but he has family tree memorabilia that he wants to put in book binding form to give to his family for Christmas. I had no clue, and then I read this thread. And I didnt get his name and number.
