Last Friday a good customer brought in a clay coated tile she had painted; about 6"x6". The back of the tile looked like masonite to me. The thing I wonder about is that she told me it had been coated with something that would protect it, so there was no need for glass.

Does anyone know what this protective coating to replace glass is? Another thing that got my goat is that she went on and on about how great Hobby Lobby is.

not sure about the clay-coated tile, I am sorry to say, but if she doesn't want the glass- so be it. What interested me though was how it "got your goat" about how much she loved Hobby Lobby, your Big Box competitor. Just remember: she came to YOU for custom framing. Now show her what you are made of- take this oppourtunity to thrill her!
My Best-

Welcome to the "G" shawart ...my thoughts exactly.

She's standing at your counter for a reason.
