Dear friends in the picture framing community,
Many of you know Cheri Macartney from her years of being a sales rep for Nurre, Nielsen Bainbridge, and Roma. Her territory was primarily the upper Midwest, but she also has ties to Texas. She loved framing and the people she worked with, her customers and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Now is her time of need and we all need to help her out if we can.
Cheri was on her way to Hastings, NE with her son and her son’s girlfriend on Dec.22. Their car hit black ice and Cheri was very badly injured in the accident. Her son and her son’s girlfriend were injured but are getting along satisfactorily. However, Cheri was flown to a hospital in Minneapolis and was in intensive care for several days. She has been moved to a rehab facility and will be there for many weeks. She will unlikely be able to work for a year. Cheri has a modest amount of insurance, but it will stop if she cannot continue to work. Therefore some friends have established an account for Cheri at Wells Fargo bank, titled “Cheri Macartney recovery fund”. If you would like to help Cheri, you could deposit in the “Cheri Macartney recovery fund account # 1940734211 with routing number 091000019” at any Wells Fargo branch or send a check to Jim & Marsha at:
3685 154th St. W
Rosemount, MN 55068.
Cheri’s dad has been sending me updates for the past week, and this one came yesterday. She must have given him access to my work email somehow, because out of nowhere, I started to receive the updates. I hope to visit her this evening.
If anyone wants to reach Cheri, her home address is above, and her parents will get any messages through to her. You can also contact me (sue@masterframers.com) and I’ll pass them along as well. I’ll see if there is an email address for her and update the group as I get more info.
