I would like to start framing in my shop and need to know which machine is superior and why. I am also looking for a nice mat cutter and considering a Keencut Ultimate Gold if anyone has used their mat cutter I would greatly appreciate input.

The Keencut is a wonderful mat cutter. No hooks on your corners....
easy to keep clean ( use just water to clean..no glass cleaner or other types of cleaners )

The CS89 and Vn2+1 are both great machines offering good value. Their differences are minimal.
The Keencut is a fine mat cutter, but it's not very popular. I would recommend Chronomat, Fletcher-Terry, or if you're on a tight budget, the Logan 6xx series cutters.
