Wondering if this is a simple fix.
I have been using this Cassese 910 for five years, but my technical knowledge of it is woefully inadequate (I inherited it, and my previous boss knew about as much as I do about it).
I was in the middle of joining a frame and on the last corner the triangle clamp wouldn't tighten. I tried re-tightening the handle, but there's no resistance at all it just wobbles. Is this something easily fixed? I have three more frames to join today!
Thanks

The handle is spring loaded. Try pulling up and rotate CCW, release to reengage the handle, rotate CW to tighten, repeat as required to tighten. If it take more than this you may have more serious problems.

yeah...it's looking like a bigger problem. I've been using this for five years, so I've got the spring loaded handle down, but I think the metal is actually stripped where the handle screws in, I unscrewed the whole handle and strips of metal came out with it...I'm off to cry in a corner now. I have a guy coming out next week to take a look. *sigh*

Do you deal with Larson Juhl? If so, call their tech line Monday morning, tell them the model number, describe the problem and they can tell you exactly what the part number is and get it ordered. Should be a pretty simple fix.

And from now on take it easy tightening it.
