canvas streching in bulk

I recently had a customer inquire about our streching services. It seems as though he has a friend who wants 50-100 canvases stretched. The owner of my shop (who used to live and frame in Florida) suggested that we could have them stretched by a distributor who has a stretching machine? Apparently in Florida this service was offered. I don't have much expereince w/ canvas stretching, particuarly in this quantity and I have never heard of a service like this being offered. Anyone out there have any ideas? I called my two local distributors and neither offer this service.

When my friends and I went into the Hotel Art business, we used a company in Brooklyn NY to stretch all the canvases we bought. It was Famous Art. They are very nice people... very helpful. Watching the guy stretch canvas was a real treat (but then I enjoy watching any master of his craft working... there was this gravedigger at Arlington Cemetery... but I digress) Anyway, the machine is pretty simple, but this is a job I would either send to someone else or subcontract. PS... we no longer sell Art from Hotels, but we sure all learned a lot, and remained friends, which is pretty darn good!

This might be a great opportunity to purchase a stretching machine for use with any future jobs. They are not very expensive these days.
