Canvas art pictures

I do canvas transfers myself but am wondering if someone tell me where I can get pictures to canvas transfer and sell without running into Canadian copyright laws? Even the Mona Lisa is copyrighted by the Louve, but is it still alright to do art card canvas transfers of her for sale?

I am not sure where you are getting your information, but a Supreme Court of Canada decision in the Spring of 2002 resolved the problem in Canada of transferring prints to Canvas. The thread I started at the time seems to have disappeared from the archives. The court case was started by a well known Quebec artist, Claude Theberge and dragged through the supreme courts provincially and federally.
