just saw a great idea on MSN about using an 'old' frame as a serving tray----very good idea for this xmas!!!

I sold a tray made of molding. It had a 1/4 mirror as the bottom. If I did it again I'd use Studio 42067 or st 41067.

Have done my share too...along with people who want their needleworks done up in a tray...Yes I know...not very conservation minded, but these ladies are insistent!

I've seen this used as a dresser/dressing table tray, but I'd love to try it with handles as a unique serving tray. Would make a nice display with hand painted wine glasses or some pottery mugs. Now, to scope out some handles. Thanks for the nudge, Bill.

Back in the late sixties when I was working for Kramer the Framer, we made a lot of trays for people - and there were handles designed specifically for frames. I believe United used to sell them...
