Using IE6 and OE. Win XP home.
when a URL is shown - highlighted in blue and sometimes underlined. When I hover the mouse over it.. the little hand comes up.. but when I click on it the screen just goes white or nothing happens at all... Have I switched something off by mistake..

No it did not... This is not a problem with the new upgrade of TG. It happens when I try to action links from within emails as well as from other Web sites.. It has got me confused.

Have you tried to do a system restore? Go back to the day before this started happening. Go to start, help & support and system restore in XP, follow any directions they give you. I'm not the guru but that might just do the trick.

Something else to try is run a program called AD-AWARE, that will check for and eliminate spyware and adware. www.download.com

Some tool bars and other programs designed to "harvest" your browsing habits and report them back to a central server can cause this set of circumstances. (especially if partially removed)

If that doesn't work, often going into your IE settings (Tools -> Internet Options) and RESETTING TO DEFAULT will clear up some issues by resetting all defaults to the original.

Microsoft has an article about this specific problem. If all else fails, see the article at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

The article suggests these steps:

To resolve this problem in Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
Quit all programs that are running.
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.
If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names below):
Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

I hope this helps. Let us know...
