Can this be done? Send Poster selections for customer to choose from?

I have a large job where my customer has picked from books some posters she likes and would like to review them.

I called Lieberman's to see if there was a process by which I could export to a Kodak EasyShare file to create an album that she could then look at on her computer...

Doesn't seem to be a way to do this.

Unless.... someone in Grumblerland has an idea or solution!?!!

Help needed most urgently!!

Thanks,

Roz

PS I may have to drop ALL the books off for her to look through AGAIN (with tabs on the appropriate pages)

The easiest way is just provide your customer with a link to Lieberman’s.

The more time consuming way would be to access Lieberman’s and find the poster (click on “Full Image” before your search).

Once you’ve got the image in front of you, (with a Mac) hold down the “control” key and click on the image. (I think it is a right click on a PC). In the contextual menu which follows, choose “download image to disk” and save it.

Then organize the images and send to your client.

Oooo, then you've got a lot of work ahead of you, Roz.

Sorry, I can't think of any way to automate this process.

It sounds like this customer needs a babysitter for her insecurity.

Prepare a babysitting bill at your normal shop rate.

I assume she has a list of the art and she can look them up by herself at her leasure.

This customer has no leisure - that's why I am doing the "leg work" - was just hoping to minimize that!! I have the list but I need color visuals. Oh, off we go, to get my work done....

That why you should be charging her........for the service........an interior designer would.

That's not in question!!

I have this fine tuned after playing with it for a few minutes... won't take nearly as long as I originally feared.

I go into the Lieberman's and pull up the specific art (I already have a list I have compiled) and "save" to my folder. I then attach 4-6 at a time to send as jpg's. It is working out very well. I am titling the file with artist, book and item #. It is going out as a Kodak EasyShare jpg and it so easy to organize after all this!!

By the way, thanks for your help!

You can also put several on MS Publisher page and send the page. Of course she would need publisher to receive it. Then each picture can be enlarged by clicking on it.

Roz,

If you have a CD Burner, I would recommend putting all the images on a CD to give to your customer. With a 100 images and 5 in an email, that's 20 emails and she'll still have to save each image to her computer to look at them all in a slide show.

I'm sure she'll be grateful for what you're doing but that would make it a little smoother

Thanks for all the great support.

The process is completed and the customer has already made her choices!!

What a place - TG!!

Roz
