I picked this up at an auction for $1.25. Has Chinese? writing on it. But the date is in English. 1946
Made from cooper. Someone thought it might be some hunting thing, but its also during the war.
For a buck and quarter, Im getting some fun at slouthing.

That red star suggests the Chinese Communist Party has something to do with this. I think that star appears on the current Chinese PLA uniform.

That medal may have been struck when the Japanese were invading China during the last war but if we have any WW2 history buffs among us they may have more of a clue.

Thanks for the info so far. The wording is in one language, but the English 1946 throws me. The mystery goes on.

The Red Army became the Peoples Liberation Army after Japan was defeated. 1946 would have been at the beginning of the civil war against the Nationalists that ended with the formation of Red China in 1949. The red star and date makes the badge likely associated with the PLA.
