I am highly frustrated with the constant changing of batteries in MY digital camera. I EVEN went to rechargables (Kodak brand) to "go green-er" as I hate to think of all the batteries that get used in my to camera, a Fujifilm 4.1, at work (ooooh - hi-tech - I know isn't it scary!)

It seems everytime I go to use my camera - I have to change batteries. This is true also for the wireless mouse we use, now that I am thinking about it...

Any suggestions?
and as always - thanks for "your" suggestions!

How often do you use your camera?? Are you talking about a camera for visualization software?? (one should use power supply with those).

In my briefcase I carry a digital camera (Canon A 520) that I use with the 15 minute Rayovac rechargeable batteries. They hold a charge for a really long time.

Camera gets used a few times a week, not for visualization yet... I document images for the (still under construction) website, photos of what moulding a customer may like - so I don't have to try to remember, etc...

I think I am changing batteries every week - to week and a half, whether I have shot a bunch of images or not....

Maybe it is the "quality" of the rechargables, but regular AA batteries don't last too long either

look at the batteries - rechargeable AA batteries store anywhere from 1200mAh to 2500mAh.

Another factor might be a short(drain of power) in your camera even when the camera is turned off.

That's the problem. It's not enough juice to last very long. It's the same set up we had, and they were always running out of power at the wrong time. If you charge your batteries every time you go out to take pixs it will help, but that's a lot of trouble.

My suggestion is to invest in a new camera that has one large battery or 4 AA batteries.

I agree get the 15 minute Rayovac rechargeable batteries. I find they hold a charge about 4 times as long as regular batteries. You can get a charger and two batteries on ebay for under $20 right now. They are changing to a different model and these are closing out, but get deal.

Make sure you check your owner's manual to make sure that your camera will accept rechargeable batteries. Most, but not all cameras will accept rechargeable batteries & some may even damage the camera. I would look into getting a model that comes w/ rechargeable batteries. I have used Canon (digital) and have been very pleased w/ the longevity of their batteries. Whenever I get a new camera I always buy an extra battery "just in case".
