Does any one know of a wireless Cable TV router similar to the ones you can install for broadband internet access? I am trying to equip a second television set with cable without having to drill holes in the drywall or string another coax cable upside the house.

I have tried an AltaVista and Google search and all I can find are routers for internet. Radioshack and others have a gizmo called “Signal Sender” which attaches to the back of a TV and sends the same signal to another appliance, but I would like to be able to view ESPN on one set while my wife zones out on Trading Spaces on another.

Any ideas?

Hello

I'm not aware of a device that captures the frequency range and re-broadcasts it to a receiver which translates it back to coaxial cable, which would then be plugged into another analog cable box.

It may not exist for legal reasons, so one neighbor can't broadcast their pay channels to another, etc.

It's an interesting idea though! If you find one, let me know.

I remember "Rabbits" from the early 1980s, which are similar to the product you saw at Radio Shack recently. (one analog channel only)

Running a wire might be the best way... :(
