Buyers Market of American Craft-Philadelphia

Too late?

Hi Susan,

Just saw your notice today, perhaps a day late. :( Been too busy at the shop to scan all the threads on the Grumble. We're in the middle of our three day Christmas Open House - Really good response and sales, btw.

I will also highly endorse this show as a great venue for anyone who has contemplated diversification. High quality, unique items.

Susan - we'll have to look at the dates, to see if we might join you. The problem is that these Big, Important shows are all jammed together.... Americas Mart Atlanta / WCAF-PPFA / Spring Fair UK.

Buyers Market of American Craft

Susan, We will be going to Philadelphia this year. Since we started adding gifts several years ago we have made a point of attending. Not good for picture frames but we have picked up several good gift lines. Still worth the $35 fee. The February show is the one I recommend but did get a chance to see Cinda Baxter of the 3/50 project at the August BMAC show in Baltimore. If you get a chance to see her it is well worth it.

I bet that I attend on Monday. Did you know that they sell their samples on Monday?

Sad to say, we aren't selling as much in gifts. I'll attend because you never know what might be new and applicable to our product mix. These folks are little guys just like us and it's great to support them. Most times you get to speak to the artist/designer. If anything it's a nice experience to be in the heart of Philadelphia with lots of fun places like Reading Terminal Market, Chinatown, the Phila Art Museum, and the Constitution Center.
