For the first time in 25 years a customer requested a custom framed LARGE (size TBD) bulletin board.Any suggestions? I don't even know how or where to get cork board. Or is there a better substrate?

Fabric wrapped Homasote.
The Homasote comes in a 4x8 sheet and you cut it to size and then glue their favorite fabric and into a frame and your done.

easy= peasy.

I like to use a layer of cork, usually 1/16" thick on a roll, vacuum-wet-mounted to 1/2" Gatorfoam. The high-density foam in the Gator board holds all sorts of tacks and pins firmly, and the cork is durable.

Over time, if the cork began to deteriorate, it would be easy to add a new layer.
