Question for anyone who can help

  • I have deleted all temp files, cookies, history.
  • Afterwards, when I go to the Artaissance website, the default dealer should be empty. Instead, it is the dealer who is using Google Ads to get top billing.
According to Artaissance, the dealer shown is determined by a cookie. Once the cookie is set, that dealer should be the only one that is available for selection.

I assume that there is a cookie, temp file or something that is not being cleared/deleted. Any guesses as to where and how to find/delete it.

If it matters, I am currently using IE8.

Have you tried restarting IE8 after clearing the cookies and trying again

Or using a different browser (also clearing History / cookies, etc and restarting) to test test their claim?

Also, not sure if they have this in IE8 as well (they do in FireFox): Look under Trusted Zone / or Exceptions and clear Artaissance if found there.

You can check out the files manually (and erase) with

Tools -> Internet Options -> Browse History Settings -> View Files

Restarted after deleting everything. Confirmed that there were 0 files visible in the folder. The other dealer was still the default dealer.

Tried FF also with same results.

Something looks fishy but I'd rather not put the details in public.

Perhaps it's tracked also at the host server, by the incoming IP.

Artaissance doesn't like that. You can browse but not purchase. You need to be able to go through the entire process until it sends the info to PayPal.

TNX for the try Paul.

What looks fishy is a 4 digit LJ account number. I've never seen one with that few digits.
