Can anyone give me any information on a Bogen Press, model 560. One has just turned up locally at what I believe is a reasonable price. I have emailed the seller for more information but am hoping to get more "observations" from the experts. I would also appreciate a balpark idea what I should pay for it. Currently the only mounting I do (and that is reluctantly) is spray mounting....Let er rip..

Thanks in advance

James

That name brings up a distant memory (like Pagan Pink Ripple.)

I don't know if you could get parts, like a thermostat, if needed.

I have found out that Bogan and technal go together. IE Bogan Technal press. The pictures show the thing in its original box still. It looks "lightly used".

I've used a Technal 500 (? on the #) for 18 yrs or so, and I got the thing used. The platen size is 12x15 and I used it just yesterday to dry mount a print that was 26x78--tooo long to fit in the vacuum press.

It's tiny enough to store on a shelf until needed, and it has come in handy on many occassions. It was the only press I had the first 3 or 4 years I was in business. Temp has been accurate.

OK so they say that the press is 27" x 27" x 5". 7 - 8 years old. I assume this is the outside dimensions of the press. Includes the tacking iron for $350.00 Can. They also have a partially used roll of colourmount and a partial roll of release for $30.00. Currently owned by an architectural firm, they claim lightly used and well maintained. Any more comments?

Thanks
James
