Hello. I am a framer running a business in Pleasantville, NY. I also manage several Twitter accounts, including http://twitter.com/pleasantville (a site I manage for the good of the community) and http://twitter.com/CornellGallery (my business account). I also manage and write a blog at http://TwitterProfessor.com. I am looking for framers or art galleries that are using Twitter as part of their marketing/public relations plan, for an upcoming blog I'm working on.

I look forward to talking to you.

Sincerely,
Chris

I own a frame shop and have a twitter account (@trickponies) that I do use to promote - but it mostly is used for promoting my trick ponies (which are actually artists as well....as they paint pictures). I sell their art in my frame shop - so twitter is sort of promotion for the ponies and also the shop in that it gets people into the shop to view/purchase their artwork.

Not sure if thats what you are looking for or if it is helpful or not? I think I am currently following you on twitter.

Blog, cont.

Studio 3 and Troy,

I will make sure I'm following you both on Twitter. If you are interested in being included, send me an email to cornellgallery@aol.com and I will reply with a couple of questions for you to respond to.

I am having a great deal of success helping build an online community in Pleasantville, and I want to help do the same thing in out framing community. I think if we share our experiences (and I have quite a lot to share), we can all reap rewards.

If anyone ever wants to talk, feel free to call me at 914-741-1203, or send me an email.

Sincerely,

Chris Cornell

More blog stuff

@Trickponies - great video http://tinyurl.com/lxpdpu let's see if we can get a couple hundred people to view that -- maybe a local TV station or newspaper -- have you already gotten some good PR from this? If not, you should. Let me know how it goes. How are the paintings selling? I bet there's a good market for those once people see the video.

To Tim -- what's your twitter address? I want to make sure.

Chris,
I have a twitter account http://twitter.com/ArtHausFraming. I don't use twitter often but when I use it I often use twitpic with it to show frame that we build and other products that we sell.

Regards,
Troy

Troy,

Your web site is really growing. I love the online store section. Very nicely done. Are you printing the monogram prints?

Your shop photos are colorful and fun and make me want to visit. You seem to be doing just what you need to be doing to attract the younger generation mentioned so often in the PMA thread on the business forum.

Chris, You are following me, @deckthewalls I now can not remember if I sent you a message via PM here, and email, or a twit. Pretty sure not a twit, I mean tweet! :)

just checked, PM here on the G

Don't you get confused? I can barely keep up with the blog. People keep inviting me to be friends on Facebook, but I rarely look at it. I'd love to be better at LinkedIn. Twitter? It's all too much.

Did you design them? How are they selling? They are really cool looking.

Kirstie, I don't blog and I don't send out a newsletter like you do. Twitter is pretty easy once you get going. Facebook is where everyone is at, it's pretty addicting and people check that multiple times a day. LinkedIn was the first social media that I joined and I can not directly relate any business to it.

I have always tried to advertise so that I am top of mind, afterall the survey says that only 4% of people use us, when they do they better think of me. Social media does not cost a thing except time and it is another tool to get your name out there. (plus I am usually up til 1am every night, to that helps with the time thing)
