Bevelled Edge Magazine

The website doesn't respond, but this looks like a recent thing because it's still listed on google.

Michael Stratton and his wife still run their framing and gallery business, as well as the Toronto Framing show in October.

Bevelled Edge Gallery

I spoke with them recently, where he mentioned that the magazine had been put to bed about 9 months ago. (May be resurrected...but doubtful.)

Thanks Mike & John. I had no luck on their web site finding an e-mail address.

I looking at an old check that was cashed for a three year subscription to a magazine that never arrived.

I used to do some advertising with them.

They had a fire that was started during a break and enter of the business nest door (a bar or resturant I think) and while he did have some insurance, and resumed publication briefly, I don't think he ever really recovered from the distaster -- lost records, backups, etc. I hear this is quite common in businesses struck by major disasters.

Bad things do happen to good people.

Wouldn't you think "good" people would send the unused portion of your subscription funds back to Doug and all the others? "good" people would at least be apologetic & notify us, wouldn't they????

Doug,

Michael mentioned to me that when they ceased the publication, they offered to subscribers compensation with books and media from their bookstore.

I'd give Michael a phone call.
