I'm just posting this from reynard. These 2 frames are 4" obeche gessoed, antiqued and polished. The still life has a horrible wee gold slip. it was meant to be water gilded but we ran out of time. The portrait has gessoed slip coloured to suit the painting.
 
Gail, they look GREAT to me. I love the 'manly' wooden mouldings.
(careful: from his photo, Reynard looks suspiciously British. Be careful. Be very, very careful!!)
 
Very nice framing, Reynard. Don't tell me you did the paintings too?!

I think you and Gail qualify as the best looking couple on the Grumble.
