I have an acrylic box that I am installing a baseball bat in. What is the best way to secure the bat? I searched the site and could not find what I needed.
Thank you for any help you can give.

two screws through the backing.......the best way

Proper way the other two guys suggestions are good...

I have also used the flat braided cord they use to decorate drapies if you want some thing decorative.

I favor clear film straps; they're cheap, fast, easy, and effective. If you want elevation, use risers trimmed out of Gatorefoam or 1" x 2" stock and covered to match the background. The clear acrylic holders from Showcase and Superior are good, too, but more costly in time and treasure, and more conspicuous.

If the bat has collectible value for any reason, such as an autograph, then screwing it to the backer would permanently change its condition and reduce its value.

Please don't screw it unless it's a decorative-only prop for a sports bar or something like that.

I agree, don't just screw it through the back. I've had luck with film straps and monofilament. I also like the acrylic bat holders, but then I'm not always going for that floating in mid-air look so I don't mind that the holders are a little conspicuous. I find more often than not that they save me a little bit of time so that's a plus in my book.
