I am looking to buy/borrow a manual for a Barton multi angle vise. I have always wanted one of these and finally bought one but the previous owner did not have the owners manual. Thanks, Mike

Thanks for that post Larry. I hope someone will contribute that manual and thanks for making them available to us.

I have a copy that I would love to share. Are there any copy right issues with copying the manual? How would you like me to copy it as it is over 100 pages?

It can be scanned but care needs to be taken. If not done correctly, it can result in a PDF to large to be useful. It should be scanned at now more than 100 dpi. Hopefully it isn't in color so in can be scanned in BW. The resulting pages should be under a 100K. The entire manual should be under 20MB to be useful.

If you can scan it fine - and then email it too me.

An alternate is to send me the manual, which I will scan and return right away. If the resulting scan is too large David Waldmann has PDF compression software that he can use to scrunch it down.

Will work on scanning it this weekend. I'll email you when I get ready to send it.

Before you do the final scanning, I would recommend playing around with your scanner settings for resolution, quality and color to see what settings give the best balance between quality and size.

I hope others will have as much fun building multiangle frames as I do.

Been there, done that - never again.

Getting my vn42 back to square was too much trouble. I'll outsource mine if there every is a next time.

More power too you.
