Hi all,
There was a post a while back about Grumble Badges. I made the attached for Myself & Mrs. QD. What are others doing? If anyone would like a copy of the Word Document I used, let me know. I just think it would be dandy to identify ourselves by avitar and name.

Quickdraw - that is a brilliant idea - and I'm not even going to the show!

Using the Avatar is like how high school reuinions should use senior pictures from the yearbook on badges.

Brilliant!!!

(You might also think about putting your real names somewhere on the badges...)

The only potential problem is how the wife will react to being labeled as a grumble wife. Haven't discussed this with her yet. Since I've already printed and laminated these, I'll go with what I've got for now. The real name on the show badge should identify that though.

ah come on..... "Gorilla Framer" !!?!?!? isn't one bad enough?

QuickDraw was just monkeying around..... :D

QD, that's the best idea I have seen in a long time.

I think Paul C would object to my being dubbed the gorilla framer.., but I don't think he'd mind the Monkey Grumbler too much....

Doing the badges is simple.

1. Click on your avitar in any post and it will pull up your profile.
2. Right click on the avitar in your profile and choose save picture as to save it to your local hard drive
3. Create a text box that is ~2.25x3
4. Right Click on the text box and select format text box
5. choose Fill Color>Fill Effects
6. I chose the daybrake preset option from center
7. right click on the text box and select format text box again
8. choose layout and behind text
9. Insert the avitar image outside of the text box in the body of the document
10. right click and select format picture
11. choose layout>in front of text
12. size the avitar and place over the text box
13. enter text and adjust by playing with the margins options on the top ruler

It sounds complicated, but seemed easy... or maybe it's just me.
