A few weeks ago I cut a bunch of mats for a paper company guy who was taking ink jet paper samples to a trade show in Germany. He just called to tell me they were a big hit and a graphics arts guy (from Germany) was wondering where he could get that great matboard that I had used.

I probably missed out on an opportunity here - I should have told him that I am the sole international distributor, but it's Friday and I wasn't thinking clearly. I told him that the board, Bainbridge Alphamat 8808 Gypsum, should be available anywhere in Germany that carries a good selection of matboard.

Was I right? It seems like Nielsen-Bainbridge should be the most international of our manufacturers.

They should be available in Germany alright. In fact some of the bainbridge boards I get over here are from a German source.Neilsen do operate in Germany as far as I know.

Ron,

Indeed, Nielsen-Bainbridge has a strong presence in Europe and Germany. In fact, I first saw the colored cored boards made in Germany by a smaller company that Nielsen-Bainbridge acquired.

Your friend can search for an authorized distributor on the Nielsen-Bainbridge Germany website.

I'll be seeing their agent at the SACA Fair next week. He just happens to work in the booth next to where I'll be working. Farné Group (Fletcher-Terry Italian distributor) If you want me to pass on his name, let me know.

Regards,

John
