I left my heart in san francisco/ st louis
I ordered a new box of regular clay coat foam cor and it looks different than the shiny surface I'm used to. It has a paper finish that is softer like acid free but is definitely not the same thing. It resembles the paper finish on the Elmer's brand regular foam cor. I called Bainbridge and they did confirm that their source for the claycoat did change their product and that it should be noticeably whiter. This is whiter, but the finish is different also and they couldn't confirm that it was supposed to be that way or not. In any case, I'm having the box replaced, I'll see what this new box looks like.
Has anyone else seen a change in foam cor they've received? I want to make sure I know what's in my box and that it isn't mislabeled. If the next box looks the same I'm going to assume that is just what the change looks like.

Just got the same stuff and don't like it. I'm keeping it, so time will tell.

Something tells me that NB is cost-cutting: some profile 117 came in with defects, as did another Nielsen. These are something I've never seen.

As long as we're here, I wish that they still made 1/8" foam core 1/8" thick.
