Corporate customer has a 48 X 72 photo, which is sort of translucent, he wants framed. Was thinkng of backing with that big oversized Crescent rag mat but was wondering if I can get by with just oversized gatorboard, Sintra, etc. Needs to have a white backing because of its transluscence. archival not a necessity since it will hang for only about a year or so then get trashed and replaced with another 48 x 73 photo.

Help would be appreciated

Mike, The 1/2" white Gatorfoam should serve you well if you have the frame depth. What you have is a duratrans (probably) and acidity is of less concern than UV.
How do you propose to mount it? These things are traditionally pressure mounted to clear acrylic.

Hobnestly Wally no one seems to much care about the mounting since it will be so transient in the frame. Thought about using a Nielsen 117 of some type, plexi and moosh it between the Gator and the plexi and that's that. Can always drymount--my press will fit it--but why? Just sandwich it and get'r'done.
