backer board for cmc 8000

So, I'm getting ready to cut on my NEW 8000 wizard.
Nowhere in the manual does it talk about backer board layers.

My old 5000 took two layers of mat board for the backer board.
What do I use for the 8000?

We never have.... although I suppose you could. I read the whole wizard manual back when we got ours, however, and I do not recall any mention of that.

No need to. Just remember to keep the back boards aligned to the left edge, so the air clamp keeps it tight. It will creep, but tape is not necessary. You'll have to rotate it when cutting verticals, so tape will get in the way.

I have never put ATG on the first layer to the Wizard. It seems as if the matboard stays in place.
