Shadowbox will contain a county fair ribbon and an engraved nameplate (1" x 3"). I don't think the peel 'n stick self adhesive on the back of the nameplate will permanently affix it to the Bainbridge suede board. Will a dab or two of Silicone II hold the nameplate to the suede, or should something else be used?

We mount shadowbox objects on suede that has been mounted onto 1/4 plywood that has been sealed with varathane. The nameplate that we order are the nail hole type that will hold it firmly; first we follow your method and use silicone to attach the name plate. The silicone may fail but the nails will not. My sincere appologies to conservators that may read this.

Add a couple of drops of Frank's Fabric Adhesive.

They will bond with the suede and the metal.

[static suction bond]

Thanks for three good ideas. I'll test them all.
