Thought I would run this by some of you. Have a customer who has a laminated map and wants to be able to use magnets to plot places on map. Any ideas on how to attach laminated map to metal sheet and then I would frame it. Problem is would adhesive glue keep the attaching magnets from sticking to the map.

Thanks

I did one of these for a customer who wanted to keep track of his trips and vacations. I mounted the laminated map to foamcore and he used push pins for destinations and highlighter to mark routes taken.

Just a thought to run past your customer if you get no good response using magnets. Actually, if he uses rare earth magnets, you could mount the map to any ferrous sheet and they probably would be extremely difficult to remove depending on the size of the magnet! I would probably suggest Super 77 to adhere it to the metal sheet. And no, the glue shouldn't interfere with the magnetic properties.
