So we are at the 30ish mark--a good crowd.
What we know so far:
Dinner will be at
7:00 at McCormick and Schmick's (so don't go trotting over to Ruth Chris', 'cause the rest of us won't be there
)
McCormick and Schmick's is on the lower level of the CNN building--easy to find.
No one has requested a vegetarian choice, so steak, salmon and flounder (I believe) have won out.
We will have 6 people at each table (but can add a chair to each table to make 7, if need be) and like last year, I will need one "accountant" for each table to keep track of the tabs. There will be a ticket for each table, with dinner being price fix--sans alcoholic drinks. (I will give you the exact total after I speak to the restaurant next week) So, when the ticket arrives, one person will collect the credit cards or cash, verify the amount to be charged each individual person and act as the laison to the waiter--much easier and faster than the waiter going from person to person.
I need my 6 accounting volunteers, please.
Jim M, surely you have that phone calculator mastered by now!
Please don't volunteer if you are likely to indulge in, say, more than 6 cocktails.
