The Grumble Dinner for Decor-Atlanta is on the
Voting Booth forum--be sure to put your name on the list if you are going, or considering. I'd like to get an idea of how many. Also, you can check out the menu options while you are there.
Oh my, you did it! ROTFL
Yea I did

Last year I think we had 41 or 42 people. Hopefully we have a great turnout this year too!

Who else is coming?

Here's who I have so far:

Mike Labbe
Jennifer's hubby
Jim Miller
Bill Ward
Bill's guest
Bossy Ellen
Shirley Damon
Maryann Shirk
Greg Fremstad
Greg's guest
Bill McCurry
(Maybe) Tom aka Framerguy

So, we need to get a little more serious about signing up for this dinner, so add your name to the list or e-mail me if you are "thinking" about it. Ohh, I can see we are going to have a good time--just judging by the culprits who have signed up already! hehehe
Those who live the closest, arrive the latest, or something like that.

Barb. count me in for dinner, please m'am.

adding to the list:

Karen's 3 guests
(maybe) Linda

and a couple more "maybe's"

So we are at the 30ish mark--a good crowd.

What we know so far:
Dinner will be at 7:00 at McCormick and Schmick's (so don't go trotting over to Ruth Chris', 'cause the rest of us won't be there ;) )

McCormick and Schmick's is on the lower level of the CNN building--easy to find.

No one has requested a vegetarian choice, so steak, salmon and flounder (I believe) have won out.

We will have 6 people at each table (but can add a chair to each table to make 7, if need be) and like last year, I will need one "accountant" for each table to keep track of the tabs. There will be a ticket for each table, with dinner being price fix--sans alcoholic drinks. (I will give you the exact total after I speak to the restaurant next week) So, when the ticket arrives, one person will collect the credit cards or cash, verify the amount to be charged each individual person and act as the laison to the waiter--much easier and faster than the waiter going from person to person.

I need my 6 accounting volunteers, please.
Jim M, surely you have that phone calculator mastered by now! ;) Please don't volunteer if you are likely to indulge in, say, more than 6 cocktails.

More later!
Oh, the 6 cocktail crack was just a general guideline for anyone, not intended just for you, Jim!

(Actually, I felt I had to throw it in just in case Jerry V decided to show up, dontcha know, but was trying to be tactful by not singling one person out. So much for tact!)

Thanks for volunteering, Jim.

Who else?
Barb, It's not the cocktails. It's the pre-cocktail beer, the wine with dinner (thanks again Lifesaver), the Sherry after dinner, then the Cognac...oy! We did go back to the Omni bar, didn't we?
Oh yes, we did. Of course some of us were drinking 'tea flavored sugar syrup' if I recall.

Now I like a glass of southern sweet tea, but that stuff was like runny corn syrup.

Ok people--if you can't decide yet if you are going or not--give me a head's up privately if you want to be considered in the count. ;)
Ok people--I need about 3 more bean counters! Surely Jim and I are not the only ones planning on still being sober enough to man a calculator by the end of the meal?!

Get those hands up in the air or I'm gonna start calling names and making assignments!

Saturday night. McCormick and Schmick's. 7:00 p.m. Downstairs from the Omni bar.
Ill volunteer as well. It all depends where we all end up sitting. If all the bean counters sit together, we have a problem! hehe

I can't believe how quickly this is approaching...

Well then, how about everyone get seated and then I'll come around and ask for a volunteer from each table? That might be better.

Approaching very quickly....September will evaporate into thin air.
