I realize that the West Coast Art & Frame Show is still three weeks away, and the PMAI show is eight weeks off, but.....

Sarah and I are off tomorrow to Atlanta to spend the week at America's Mart, actually the largest gift show in North America. We often run into picture framers at these gift shows....those that have diversified into other retail merchandise.

For any Grumblers that might attend, please drop me an Email when you'll be there, or post to this thread. It would be nice to hook up for coffee or a drink after the show. We'll be in Atlanta all week through Sunday, so please say hello.

Regards,

John

Not one framer here?......Really?

Not one Grumbler here at one the largest retail gift shows in the world? I'm amazed?

Sorry John, I guess there are just so many events most can afford to go to. While in Vegas I'm going to the Las Vegas Gift Market. Figured I could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. The New York International Gift Fair is going on the same time as Vegas, so I would have missed that one.

Tell us how it was...maybe you'll convince some of us to go next year. by the way, I added gift lines this past November....it was the best decision I ever made!

Oddly enough, my wife is leaving for Atlanta tomorrow morning to help a friend (wo)man a booth for YourBreed Clothing.

YourBreed embroiders several dog varieties onto caps, blankets, coats and the like. Next to a specialized pet show in Chicago, it is apparently the major exhibition for our friend’s business.

I haven’t been, but from what I am told, there are many acres of floor space. One cannot hope to see everything.

Crud! I just remembered, I gotta get up at 4:00 a.m. and take her to the airport.

I have been several times and enjoyed it. I always make good contacts and learn things at gift shows.

I enjoy the one in Gatlinburg TN more than the one in Atlanta.

I will be skipping both this year. Gift sales has never really worked for me. Not enough foot traffic.
