Hello fellow Grumblers,

We have a client with a vacation home in Margate, NJ that is asking us for a quote to install two pieces. We recently drove a large order to them & installed, but these new pieces were purchased elsewhere. We'd be willing to do the work, but the drive alone is a 3 hour round trip & we'd have to charge for that, too.

So - any takers for Z-Bar installation of 2 pieces? One is 97" for above a bed, the other is 48" for above a sofa. We'll pass your quote & information along to them. Feel free to PM.

Maybe you should see if you could get a FREE WEEKEND STAY at the vacation home, in exchange for installing those two pieces.

Another plus side is that you wouldn't be introducing this customer to possibly a new framer that could compete on future orders.
 
If I were you I would take the day and drive down (on a slow day), take a walk on the boardwalk in Ventor or AC, go to a casino, have a nice dinner. It's amazing what a day away can do. Your customer will love you for it! Plus you might find some other projects to do for them.

JPaul is right, you could very well lose your customer to a local framer or a Phila framer that will travel. My boss, (family) has a home there and I do deliver to our customers who have shore homes on the island, but don't want to install framing that isn't ours.
 
That is too far for me.

It would be interesting for those closer to know how high that top rail is from the floor.... to know if scaffolding is needed or a ladder (s). And are those dimension given the width or height.
