From time to time I get e-mails notifying me about upcoming art conservation/art history lectures and programs. I thought some of you might be interested.

I, and others, tried to think of a less obtrusive way of posting them, but this seems the easiest. If this is irritating SPAM-like reading for you, please let me know and I won't repeat; alternately, if it's interesting/useful let me know and I will repeat. I get them about 1ce a month. Thanks,

Rebecca

SPAM????

Perhaps I should forward some of my junk mail to you so you can see the difference, Rebecca. Maybe only a small percentage of the Grumblers would be able to take advantage of this information, but anyone who's irritated by your posting of it needs to take a sedative and a nap.

Keep it coming. You are a bona fide Grumble treasure. It's like having a conservator on retainer - for free! Those in related specialties - the gilders, the conservators, the vendors and others - give The Grumble a special worth that framers alone, however experienced, could not offer.

Oh yeh, and let's not forget the photographers, the number-crunchers, the chemists and the SCUBA instructors, too!

Definitely not SPAM! I would find these interesting, although I probably wouldn't be able to go. :( Then again, you never know...

By the way, are you familiar with the Mt. Carroll Center in Illinois? They have class on art and building preservation all through the summer.
