I was looking at flight connections. Not cheap, but not too bad. Hotel prices are sure good with the exchange rate!

I've only flown back to the US from a Canadian destination once (from Montreal). I can't remember whether we landed in the US in Detroit or Chicago, but we got to go through US Customs at the Montreal airport before getting on the plane.

Is travel back into the US from Toronto the same convenience, as well? Does anyone else have experience with which is the best US entry portal from Canada? I've hit Chicago more than once coming back from overseas trips and would recommend almost any airport other than Miami or New York over it!

po' framer,

Toronto is like most major Canadian cities....when you fly out of the airport to U.S. destinations. You always clear U.S. customs while still in Canada. This is why it's very difficult to let passengers de-plane in the event of delays.....technically, you've already cleared customs and left the country.

The show facility and hotels are all within sight of the airport......It couldn't be any more convenient.

Pearson Int'l is pretty slow sometimes when it comes to customs, my parents waited for an hour and fourty five minutes to get through and almost missed their plane to Vegas. My advice is the same as it is at all airports, go early when your heading back, it still takes a while.

John is absolutely right! Thanks John for all of your help! I love all these grumblers!! Po'Framer, not only is it extremely convenient to your hotel from the airport (less than 5 minutes) probably, but the show location (Skyway Trade and Conference Centre) is located next to the airport also! You will absolutely love Toronto in October. I would strongly suggest that you go to our web page www.afexcanada.com as there are several links there to help you plan your time in Toronto!! Have fun and we look forward to seeing you and alot of other grumblers!!
Keep Smiling ;)

Well, the mizz po' and I would surely love to make the show as we would like to support a regional type midwestern show and get to enjoy part of Canada we've not seen in the bargain. I've heard that Toronto is a showpiece kind of city and surely should be awesome in October.

Awfully close to the Hotlanta show in schedulling, is one of my impressions as well, but the crowds and bustle at the Atlanta show sort of diluted my wish to return to it.
