If you use a point gun regularly (Brits use one on pretty much every job) and have an air compressor, invest in a pneumatic one, you won't look back.
I have an 'Omer' - it has not jammed or misfired in about 7 years. It takes several brands of flexible and semi-rigid points and the strips are about twice as long too. The semi-rigid points fired pneumatically offer far more strength/support than a rigid point fired manually.
Rigid points would mean a second gun, but there's really no need, although I am considering one so that we can have gunfights! I wish they'd invent a pneumatic point gun that you can charge with compressed air because the airline gives away your postion.
