I have a miserable time trying to get an edge up without it tearing every inch or two to peel that paper. I just did one by lifting one corner, using an extra long tube and rolled across at a 45 deg angle. Oh duh. Now I'm gonna guess I'm the only one who hasn't figured that out before!

Pretty much, LOL
See you can learn something new every day...
I will bet there will be others who say Thanks fo rthe great tip.. It is a great tip.

But don't feel bad it took me 6 years from 1976 to 1982 before I figured it out.
Keep the roll the tacky paper helps to grab the paper for the next time.
I remember once I had a roll about 12'' in diameter with a 1" core before I started a new one.

I've always used a tube but always tried to start a complete edge. rolling from the corner was the revelation for me.

You've got the method down now, from the corner. I just did 15 posters with plexi yesterday. If you use a fatter tube, you get a little more leverage to roll off the paper.

I think you will find that if you rub both sides of the paper with a damp cloth before peeling it, it will not only come off easier, but there will be less static and dust.

Take heart, Jeff. I've been doing this for 18 years, and
your idea is a revelation to me. I usually
roll it from the straight edge, too, and am glad that I
at least figured out to use a bigger tube. Thanks for
the idea about the damp cloth, Rob.

As a clarification, I've not worked with OP3, but use
this method on any paper covered acrylic. That scratch
resistand con. clear acrylic from Tru Vue was a nightmare
to get the paper off of. Just pure crazymaking.
