Get The Picture
I had a customer come in this morning who is looking to match a frame he'd previously purchased from a shop that is now gone. I think it might be a Don Mar, but I don't have this sample, and can't seem to find it on their website. I do have a call and email in to them, but on the off chance it isn't theirs I thought I would see if anyone recognizes it. Thanks in advance for the help!

It's about 1 1/8" wide, guessing the rabet is about an inch, maybe a little less.

This isn't a good picture, but I think it's Presto's 1639S (for Silver).

Don Mar distributes Presto, so its a possibility.

The picture you took appears to be from the side a bit...so its kind of hard for me to tell. But 1639S is about 1" across the face and decently deep.

I do know that at times, the "specks" have varied and the finish has changed a little bit a few times. Sometimes the finish looks more smooth...so if you ask for a sample, tell them you want specks. Can't guarantee anything about the red antiquing.

Presto's number is 800-431-1622.

Shenandoah Framing is also a distributor, if you prefer chop 800-368-2171.

yes 1639S

That is Presto 1639S. We have had it in the line from the same Italian manufacturer for over twenty years. I think the picture is a good representation of the what the moulding looks like, granted in that time, and with many different production runs there is bound to be some small variation. In any case it is in stock here or one of our full line distributors (Don Mar does not carry it).

That looks like it might be it. Just called them and am having them send me a chip to compare to the frame. They said Don Mar may have ordered it in the past, and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. But at least this is a start. Thanks for the lead!
